Branding

Ongoing marketing collateral

The Trtl team based in their head office in Glasgow has grown from just two guys to a global player in the retail travel product design sector. No mean feat.

I started working with the team at Trtl to develop a refresh of their packaging, the original version of which was designed by a Glasgow design agency.

Although good, the packaging had some flaws and didn't really work for the client base and their online customers.

Soon after refreshing their online packaging I was tasked with designing the new logo for the brand. This was a great process to get involved in and I think they are delighted with the finished 'fashion-led' result.

The new logo helped their customer base understand what the product was and how to spell the brand name.

The logo was designed to have a fashion feel and almost be their 'Lacoste alligator' brand symbol. The logo had to have form and structure but be simple, recognisable and flexible. the logo design had to have structure and flow and is now used on all marketing collateral to promote the brand.

As with most logos I design, it had to work in black and white and work at very small sizes on varying pieces of collateral including silicon badges, exhibition materials and other print material.

The new packaging was designed to reflect their positioning as a quirky and unique product in this sector. It is typically saturated by the traditional and cheap looking travel pillows.

I love working with the team and we constantly challenge the way that stuff works and we have a tremendous relationship. They are always up for being challenged to help them continually develop and push their brand forward and keep it fresh and up-to-date.

Thanks, team Trtl.
